Hemlock Elementary and K.C. Ling reaped the rewards of a “fun-fair” that could not happen the past two years due to the pandemic. Prizes and gifts were donated to the schools that were supposed to be prizes for the fundraiser for the Class of 2021.
These prizes will be awarded to students for behavior incentives for the P.A.W.S. Program (Practice Safety, Act Responsibly, Work Together, Show Respect.)
Principal Gensch shared, “We were so grateful to receive this donation. Our students were ecstatic to see all the new prizes they could choose from for exhibiting positive behaviors. They rejuvenated this incentive at both elementary schools. Additionally, the generosity of the Class of 2021 has saved us hundreds of dollars in organizational funds for prizes that we typically purchase through popcorn sales. Thank you doesn’t seem enough for their thoughtfulness.”
Social Worker Erica VanAlst stated, “Incentives like P.A.W.S. prizes have been a great reward for positive behaviors, and these donations will be a wonderful contribution to our PBIS program.”
