Recently, the littlest Huskies did a service-learning project to promote kindness and love. Our families donated items to be sent to the pediatric unit at Covenant Healthcare for staff and families. They also gave items to staff and residents at HealthSource of Saginaw.
Preschool and childcare students also did a collection of hygiene items to go towards a school project for the Underground Railroad.
Preschool teacher Megan Bedford noted, “The children brainstormed on what being kind was?” They chimed in and said, “It is being nice, giving hugs, loving everyone, and making people smile.” “The students just loved doing this project for others.”
Principal Gensch shared, “These acts of kindness shown by this age-group warms my heart. This is just another way our Huskies make me proud.”
