Hemlock, MI- Hemlock Public School District is pleased to announce that Abby King has been selected to be the Director of Hemlock Public School District's Childcare Program housed at Hemlock Elementary. Abby will also maintain her current lead teacher position.
"Abby King brings more than a familiar face to the leadership helm of our childcare program, she brings a wealth of experience, a new perspective, and possess a Masters' degree in early childhood," said Superintendent Don Killingbeck.
King has worked as the lead teacher since its launch in 2014. She brings a wealth of experience to this role having previously taught at Nouvel Catholic Central Elementary and with an undergraduate degree in Elementary Education in 2007 from Saginaw Valley and a Master's degree in Early Childhood Education from Saginaw Valley.
Principal Lori Gensch said, "We are excited to have Abby serve as our Childhood Director. Abby has established herself as a Hemlock Huskie and knows our families and their needs. She is committed to providing the highest quality of care to our children."
Abby is married to Jeff and together, they have two children of her own Sam (4) and Hannah (3).
