Lori Gensch has nominated Mrs. Stephanie Dunton for the Staff Recognition Highlight this week.
Mrs. Dunton is in her 13th year of teaching and her 7th year with Hemlock Public School District. She is currently our district’s Literacy Coach and MTSS interventionist at Hemlock and K.C. Ling Elementary. Throughout her tenure, Stephanie has also taught Young Fives, Kindergarten, 1st Grade, and 2nd Grade.
“Stephanie has gone above and beyond to provide individualized instruction to students online during the school closure. She meets with students daily and provides instruction at their level. Stephanie has provided a sense of normalcy with these weekly student meetings and has served as a “point-of-contact” for many of our Hemlock families. Her dedication to student success has become even more apparent during this unprecedented time in education,” shared Principal Lori Gensch.
Mrs. Dunton is married to her husband Eric and together they have two children - Will and Sam. Both of her children attend school here in Hemlock. In her spare time, she enjoys shopping, going for walks, hanging out with friends and family, and spending time up north.
When asked what makes her the proudest as a teacher, Stephanie stated, “I am the most- proud of my students when they can decode a tricky word.”
Thank you, Mrs. Dunton, for all your hard work and dedication to our Huskie Pack! We are so lucky to have you on our staff.
