Recently, Mrs. Lockwood has been awarded as a Saginaw County STEM star. This award is a prestigious award in our county that recognizes those individuals that promote and have made advances in STEM-related education. She will be honored at a banquet in her honor on February 22nd at SVSU. Her achievements are in recognition of her dedication to not only the Hemlock students but to students around the county that use the Lockwood STEM center and or the students that attended the Hemlock/ISD STEM camp that she co-hosted last summer.
“Growing up in Hemlock and working in the district has brought pride in many ways. I am proud to have been a student, a mom, and a teacher in this community I call home. As a teacher, there are many memories that have made my teaching career fun and interesting. I especially enjoy preparing students for their first interviews. As the Work-Based Learning Coordinator, I love connecting students with local businesses and making a difference in their lives.” Dana Lockwood
Thank you Mrs.Lockwood for being a leader in our pack. #pullthesled.
