Hemlock Huskies National Honor Society Students and advisor, Karen Willour marched to support Barb Smith’s organization - Suicide Resource and Response Network on Sunday, August 12, 2018. The Huskies raised over $1300.
The mission of the Suicide Resource and Response Network is to foster awareness and education to prevent suicide in the Great Lakes Bay Region and offer support for those who have lost a loved one to suicide.
Mrs. Willour said, “Barb Smith’s organization has been extremely helpful and instrumental in helping our students, staff, and families. I am very proud of these seven NHS students who volunteered to give up a Sunday during their summer break to promote awareness and support to this organization.”
Mr. Killingbeck noted, “It is wonderful to see our students engaged in a meaningful way to help our county's suicide resource and response network."
