Hemlock Middle and High School students were recently honored by the Optimist Club of Saginaw at their annual Youth Appreciation Luncheon at the First Presbyterian Church.
Hemlock Middle School students, Max Dinninger and Samatha Seidel and High School students, Gage Slominski and Sierra Yell were all selected by school staff for their positive attitude and approach to life.
Middle School Principal Terry Keyser said, “These students are nominated by their teachers based on their scholarship, service, leadership, character, and citizenship. They are our best of the best. It is a high honor to be nominated.”
The Optimist Creed is a good message for people no matter their age. It is a promise to yourself to be strong and focus on the good things in life to make your OPTIMISM come true.
High School Dean of Students Kyle Boros said, “It was truly an honor to accompany Sierra and Gage at the luncheon. Sierra and Gage are wonderful representatives of the student body at Hemlock High School and are very deserving honorees. Their drive, determination and optimism will undoubtedly lead to incredibly successful futures.”
