Hemlock, MI - Hemlock Middle School would like to congratulate this year’s 8th-grade award winners! These awards are based on scholarship, leadership, citizenship, attendance, character, and involvement in school activities. Each award winner is pictured in order below.
Alyssa Rivette, (daughter of Anthony and Jamie Rivette,) has been nominated as 8th-grade outstanding female student. Alyssa maintained a 4.00 GPA and was involved in NJHS, Student Council, cross country, and pom-pon.
Cole Wesener, (son of Matthew and Melissa Wesener,) has been nominated as 8th-grade outstanding male student. Cole maintained a 3.95 GPA and was involved in NJHS, Student Council, and basketball.
Tyler Vasher, (son of Daniel and Colleen Vasher,) was awarded the 8th-Grade Principal’s Award. Tyler maintained a 4.00 GPA and was involved in NJHS and basketball.
Reilie Netzley, (daughter of Patrick and Kelly Netzley,) was awarded also the 8th-Grade Principal’s Award. Reilie maintained a 3.95 GPA and was active in NJHS, Student Council, and volleyball.
Middle School Principal Keyser said, "These students represent the ideas that we want all of our students to aspire to. They are the current and future leaders of their class and should go on to even greater things at Hemlock High School and beyond. Their challenge is to maintain these qualities in themselves and to inspire others to reach higher along with them."
New Middle School Principal Joshua Chase added, “These students have a very bright future. It has been my honor to work with many of them. I am excited to see how high they set their sights for 2024!”.
