Hemlock High School is proud to recognize junior Madison Weber as this week’s Student of the Week! Madison is a dedicated and talented student whose passion for Poms, theatre, and her future goals makes her an outstanding member of the Hemlock community.
What part of the school day does Madison enjoy the most?
For Madison, the best part of the school day is spending time with her friends. “They uplift me and have left a lasting impact on my life,” she shared. Madison values the positivity and encouragement her friends bring, making her school experience truly meaningful.
Who has been Madison’s biggest inspiration or role model?
Madison credits her friends as her biggest role models. “They are the people that have the most influence in my life in such a positive way,” she said. She also highlighted Alyssa Rivette, who inspired her during her time on the Poms team. “When I was on the team with her, she made me want to be a better Pommer, and I’m grateful to call her a friend.”
What subjects or activities is Madison passionate about?
Madison’s passions lie in Poms and theatre, two activities that have shaped her high school experience.
Poms: “Poms has been a part of my life for six years, and I have met some of my best friends in the sport. It has pushed me to the limits sometimes, but at the end of the day, I’m so grateful to be a part of it.”
Theatre: Madison also loves being part of Hemlock’s theatre program. “I’ve met some of my biggest supporters and friends in the program. The people in it have been nothing but welcoming and supportive and greet anyone with open arms.”
What are Madison’s future plans?
Madison plans to pursue a career in nursing, starting at Delta College because of its excellent nursing program and proximity to home. Currently, she is gaining hands-on experience through the nursing class at SCC, demonstrating her dedication to her future career.
