Kindness

Hemlock Elementary School embraced the spirit of World Kindness Day on November 13 with activities designed to foster compassion and community among students and staff. Among the day’s highlights, Mrs. Klopf's and Mrs. Hammis' classes celebrated by creating and exchanging handmade bookmarks. This simple but thoughtful gesture allowed students to share a tangible reminder of kindness with their peers, spreading joy throughout the school.

“Our goal is to teach students that even the smallest acts of kindness can have a ripple effect,” said Principal Cory Snider. “By participating in activities like these, we’re helping students see the power of kindness and how it can make our school and community stronger.”

The day featured other kindness-themed initiatives, reinforcing Hemlock Elementary’s commitment to cultivating a culture of respect, empathy, and positivity.
