Hemlock Public School District Board of Education regularly honors individuals or groups for outstanding work and /or contributions to student success. This past month was no different.
The Board of Education held their August meeting and elected to honor the members of the Playground Patrol Committee.
These individuals were all nominated for the recognition due to their extra efforts to make Hemlock Public School District a great place for children to learn and grow.
Elementary Principal Gensch said, “The Playground Committee has been working tirelessly to make this project happen. I am amazed by their dedication and commitment to improving our current playgrounds. Thank you doesn’t begin to express the gratitude we feel for those that made this dream of a new playground a reality. This is just another example of the supportive families and community members we have here in Hemlock.”
Playground Patrol Chair Sarah Baird said, “I am very proud of the efforts we have made this year. The community has come together to support us, and we are very appreciative!”
The playground was installed on Sunday, August 19th through a community build initiative with a grand opening on Wednesday, August 22nd.
Superintendent Don Killingbeck said, “This is just another example of the amazing things happening in our district as people step forward to help.” Forms can be located on the district website or by visiting the central office located at 200 Wilson Street.
