MS Play

Hemlock Middle School is proud to present its spring theater production, Night at the Wax Museum, a hilarious and action-packed comedy that brings history to life—literally! The curtain rises on Thursday, May 1st at 7:00 PM in the Hemlock High School Auditorium. This highly anticipated performance promises fun for the whole family.

About the Play

Written by Craig Sodaro, Night at the Wax Museum follows a group of summer school students sent to help clean up a dusty old wax museum filled with famous historical figures. But when a mysterious curse causes the wax figures to come to life, chaos—and comedy—ensues. From Cleopatra to Butch Cassidy, the characters spring off their pedestals in a madcap mix of history and hilarity. Will the students survive the night and break the curse before the museum becomes their permanent home?

Student Spotlight: Jack Killingbeck

Jack, a Hemlock Middle School student and cast member in the play, shared how the experience has opened his eyes to new possibilities. “Being in the play has shown me opportunities for careers—maybe even becoming an actor,” Jack said during a recent interview.

His advice for students thinking about joining theater? “Just try it. The worst that could happen is that you don’t make it.”

Principal Josh Chase praised the cast and crew for their dedication, energy, and creativity. “Our students have worked incredibly hard to bring this play to life. It’s inspiring to see them take risks, grow their confidence, and have so much fun in the process.”
