We recently had the honor of celebrating two incredible educators, Ms. Kalena Kenny and Mrs. Karrah Chludil, at the SVSU STEM STAR Awards hosted by Saginaw Valley State University and the MiSTEM Network's East Central Michigan Region.
Previously announced as STEM STAR Award recipients, Ms. Kenny and Mrs. Chludil were formally recognized at this event, where they were celebrated for their dedication to fostering curiosity, creativity, and a love for STEM in our district's youngest learners. Their innovative approach to hands-on learning ensures that students experience the excitement of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics from the very start of their educational careers.
Each honoree received a STEM STAR Award and a $250 grant to further enhance STEM opportunities in their classrooms, allowing them to continue inspiring the next generation of problem-solvers and critical thinkers.
