Earlier this fall, the Hemlock Huskie volleyball program held a special Pink Out Cancer Awareness match against the Ithaca Yellowjackets. This heartfelt event honored those in the community who are currently battling, have overcome, or have lost their fight with cancer.
The evening was filled with emotion as each volleyball team member was introduced while paying tribute to family and friends affected by cancer. The outpouring of support from the community was remarkable, with attendees generously donating and the Hemlock Sports Boosters contributing through the sale of pink slushies.
Together, these efforts raised approximately $1,000, which will be directed to a Hemlock community member currently fighting cancer. The overwhelming involvement from the community and the dedication of the volleyball program made this event an unforgettable success.
