Hold onto your space helmets, Hemlock. There’s been talk of another alien invasion on campus between the high school gym and Wallace field, but before you start searching the skies for flying saucers, let’s set the record straight.
It turns out the buzz about extraterrestrials was nothing more than a case of broken-telephone. While the indoor walking track, which will be part of our new gym at Hemlock High School, will be elevated on a second floor - and is sure to be a ‘next-level experience, there will be no levitating or actual moon walking involved.
Much like the heated track rumor, almost-truths can spread like wildfire, and we want to assure everyone that our campus is as earth-bound as ever. Superintendent Killingbeck confirms, “We’ve thoroughly checked, and there’s no alien activity here—just lots of exciting construction!”
Speaking of construction, our campus is buzzing with incredible growth. The beautiful new gym at K.C. Ling Elementary hosted a ribbon cutting in August, the stunning new STEM Center expansion seems to have bloomed overnight, and the athletic and performing arts complexes are in their early stages of construction. So while you might notice a few extra dirt mounds and construction zones around, it’s all part of the exciting transformation happening right here at Hemlock Public School District.
If you have any questions about the aliens or other matters, we are literally a phone call or email away.
