Hemlock Elementary School hosted a special event on Tuesday aimed at helping students learn important bus riding skills. A bus was brought over to the school, where students had the opportunity to board, explore its many features, and receive valuable instruction on bus safety and behavior expectations. The hands-on experience was coordinated by Danielle Perry, the district's Mental Health Practitioner.
Principal Cory Snider expressed pride in the event's success, stating, "Our goal is to create a positive and safe environment for all students, both in school and on the bus. Teaching these expectations in a fun and interactive way ensures that students not only learn but enjoy the process."
The event was a great success, with students fully engaged and excited to explore the bus while learning how to stay safe on their journey to and from school. Hemlock Elementary remains committed to ensuring a secure and supportive environment for all students and is happy to team up with our transportation team to make this happen across all areas of students' lives.
