Hemlock Public School District is proud to offer an exceptional educational journey for students and their families, catering to their needs from early childhood through college. With a range of innovative programs and initiatives, the district has solidified its reputation as a hub of academic excellence and opportunities for growth.
Since the launch of its childcare center and early middle college program in 2014, Hemlock Public School District has been dedicated to providing comprehensive support to students at every stage of their development. The district's commitment to personalized learning is exemplified by its robust 1:1 computing initiative, ensuring that students have access to education anytime, anywhere, and from any place. In addition to a wide array of athletics, performing arts, industrial arts, and robotics programs, Hemlock Public School District offers a comprehensive educational pathway, starting from infancy and culminating in early middle college, where students can earn up to an associate degree at no cost.
Regarding these offerings, Board President Matt Wesener commented, "Our district is focused on providing an enriching educational experience that spans from cradle to college. We believe in nurturing the holistic development of our students, empowering them to reach their full potential."
The district has been fortunate to consistently surpass enrollment projections in recent years. This trend indicates that families are either choosing to relocate to the Hemlock community or opting for school of choice. Hemlock Public School District is renowned for its safe and welcoming environment, exceptional academic standards, and an abundance of extracurricular opportunities for students.
Superintendent Don Killingbeck noted, "Parents are deliberately choosing to either move into our community or exercise the school of choice option because they recognize the quality education and dedicated staff that Hemlock is known for."
To gain a deeper understanding of the district's offerings, Hemlock Public School District encourages parents to schedule a tour with the respective building principal(s) if they are considering enrollment for the 2023-24 school year. Building principals will be available on-site starting Monday, August 1st. The window for processing school of choice applications will be open from July 24th through August 9th, 2023. Parents interested in pursuing school of choice with Hemlock Public School District should complete and submit applications for their children during this timeframe.
